Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum

Thirty rooms of cursed objects in a 1938 mansion on Charleston.

Zak Bagans, who hosts Ghost Adventures, bought a 1938 mansion at Charleston and Casino Center and filled it with what he has collected over a career of chasing hauntings. The result is thirty-odd themed rooms — the Dybbuk Box, Peggy the Doll, Bela Lugosi's mirror, Jack Kevorkian's van — walked through on a guided tour that runs about two hours.

Whether you believe any of it is beside the point. It is a well-made and genuinely unsettling walk-through, closer to immersive theatre than to a museum, with staff who play it straight and a few rooms built specifically to make you regret your ticket.

Tours leave every thirty minutes and the minimum age is 12. Book ahead for a weekend evening.
