SlotZilla is the zip line that runs the length of the Fremont Street Experience, launching from a 12-story slot-machine-shaped tower at the east end of the canopy. There are two rides. The Zipline launches from 77 feet and takes you sitting upright about halfway down the mall. The Zoomline launches from 114 feet, flies you face-down in a superhero harness, and carries you the full five blocks to the Golden Gate.
The point is what you fly through. The Viva Vision canopy overhead is the largest video screen of its kind, and below you is Fremont Street at full volume: bands on three stages, crowds, casinos. It is a short ride, a few minutes at most from harness to landing, and nothing like a zip line strung through a canyon.
It runs to 1:00 AM most nights and 2:00 AM Thursday through Sunday, which makes it one of the genuinely late-night things to do downtown.
