Circus Circus opened in 1968 at the north end of the Strip and has been the family-priced outlier ever since — a resort where circus acts perform free above the casino floor through the day, on a stage under the big top that has been running since the place opened.
Behind the towers sits the Adventuredome, five acres of indoor theme park under a pink glass dome; in front of them is the Midway, a full carnival arcade. There are close to 3,800 rooms across the three towers, plus an RV park, which no other Strip resort offers.
Phil Ruffin bought it from MGM Resorts in 2019. It is the cheapest way to sleep on Las Vegas Boulevard, and the least polished, and it is entirely comfortable with both.
