KiKi Maroon: Old Stripper
Majestic Repertory Theatre

KiKi Maroon has spent two decades living a double life — standup comic by night, stripper by other nights — and this show is where those two worlds finally collide. Expect stories that swing from meeting ZZ Top to, yes, selling her own toenails, all delivered with the kind of timing that only comes from years on stage in both senses of the word. There's something refreshingly honest about a comic willing to talk about aging in an industry obsessed with youth, and she manages to find the laughs in it without flinching from the harder truths.

Staged at Majestic Repertory Theatre in the Downtown Arts District, a space that's built its reputation on giving unconventional voices room to breathe, this feels like the right home for a show that doesn't fit neatly into either the comedy club or burlesque lounge mold. It's raw, a little chaotic, and clearly personal — the kind of hour that sticks with you after the lights come up. Strictly 18+, so leave any expectations of a polished corporate comedy set at the door.
