The BackSpace Session Series – Bryan Hopkins
The Space

There's something about a 50-seat room that changes the whole shape of a live show, and that's the idea behind the BackSpace Session Series. No cheap seats, no obstructed views, just you and a handful of other people close enough to catch every breath and string pluck. This time around, Bryan Hopkins takes the small stage at The Space, a converted arts complex that's become something of a haven for musicians and performers who'd rather connect than perform at a distance.

The Space itself has a lived-in, artsy feel, with a piano bar and recording studio tucked into the same building, so the whole place carries a sense of being built by musicians for musicians. In a city known for its massive productions and blinding lights, this session strips things back to basics: a voice, an instrument, and a room small enough that the performance feels more like a conversation than a concert.
