Alison's Halo

Alison's Halo is a dream pop ensemble that formed in Tempe, Arizona, in 1992. The group emerged during a fertile period for shoegaze and dream pop, crafting a sound built on hazy guitar textures, atmospheric production, and ethereal melodies that place them alongside the era's celebrated underground acts in that genre.

Rooted in the American Southwest rather than the UK scenes more commonly associated with shoegaze, Alison's Halo carved out a distinct identity within the dream pop landscape. Their music is characterized by a layered, immersive quality that rewards close listening, drawing on the genre's hallmarks of reverb-drenched guitars and dreamy, often indistinct vocals woven into the mix.

For fans of dream pop and shoegaze-adjacent sounds, Alison's Halo represents a lesser-known but genuine piece of the genre's history, offering a textured, immersive live experience for those drawn to atmospheric, guitar-driven music.
