Green Velvet

Green Velvet is a Chicago house music pioneer whose real name is Curtis Alan Jones. Active since the early 1990s, he has spent decades shaping the sound of house and techno as a DJ, producer, singer, and composer, releasing music under multiple aliases including Cajmere. He's best known for genre-defining anthems like "Flash" and "La La Land," tracks that blend quirky, satirical vocals with driving, hypnotic rhythms.

Beyond his own productions, Green Velvet founded influential labels that helped launch the careers of numerous house artists, cementing his role as both a creative force and a tastemaker within the electronic music scene.
