The Adventuredome is the indoor theme park at the back of Circus Circus, five acres of rides under a pink glass dome that has been a fixture of the north Strip since 1993. Twenty-five attractions sit inside it, and the whole point is that the weather never enters into the decision.
The Canyon Blaster is the headline: a double-loop, double-corkscrew steel coaster that runs to about 55 mph, and still billed as the only one of its kind indoors. El Loco is the newer and stranger of the two coasters, with a first drop steep enough to push negative g. Around them sit bumper cars, a 4-D motion theater, a SpongeBob-themed ride, carnival midway games and clown shows, which covers the age range from toddler to teenager without much strain.
Walking into the dome is free; you buy an all-day pass or single-ride tickets once you are inside. The all-day pass is the sensible choice for anyone staying more than an hour.
