Exotics Racing puts you in the driver's seat of a supercar on a closed racetrack, which is a very different proposition from renting one and idling down the Strip. The standard package is five laps — Porsche and Corvette at the entry level, Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren above that — after a classroom briefing and a discovery lap with an instructor at the wheel.
An instructor then sits beside you for the whole run, calling braking points and lines, which is what keeps it accessible to people who have never been on a track before. The cars are properly quick and the corners arrive faster than the promotional video suggests.
Sessions run through the day and are booked in advance. Drivers must be 18 with a valid licence; a ride-along with a professional driver is sold separately for anyone who would rather not drive. The track is at SpeedVegas, about fifteen minutes south of the Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard.
