Surf & Soul Volume 3 brings together two musicians with impressive rock and roll credentials for an intimate acoustic performance. Bucky Heard, who performs as one half of The Righteous Brothers alongside original member Bill Medley, teams up with John Wedemeyer, the lead guitarist and vocalist for The Beach Boys. The duo started their acoustic collaboration in 2020, finding a new creative outlet when the live music scene had largely shut down.

The pairing makes perfect sense given their backgrounds in two of the most iconic sounds of the 1960s—the deep, soulful harmonies of The Righteous Brothers and the sun-soaked California pop of The Beach Boys. Their stripped-down acoustic approach lets the songwriting and vocal harmonies take center stage, offering a different perspective on the classic rock and soul repertoire these artists are known for.
