Based on S.E. Hinton's classic novel, this Tony Award-winning musical brings the story of Ponyboy Curtis and the Greasers to Reynolds Hall's expansive stage. Set against the backdrop of 1967 Tulsa, the production explores the divide between the working-class Greasers and the privileged Socs, capturing that raw tension of teenagers trying to figure out who they are while the world around them insists on labels and lines. Rumbles, rivalries, and the quiet moments of loyalty between friends all play out with the kind of staging that Reynolds Hall's full orchestra pit and dramatic sightlines were built for.

There's something timeless about this story of outsiders searching for belonging, and the musical adaptation leans into that with a score that captures both the swagger and the vulnerability of these characters. Expect greased hair, leather jackets, switchblades, and a soundtrack that moves between tenderness and defiance. The 2,050-seat hall gives plenty of room for the sweeping ensemble numbers while still keeping the more intimate scenes between Ponyboy and Johnny feeling close and personal.
